Louis Taylor Obituary

Louis H. Taylor Sr. CHESAPEAKE - Louis H. Taylor Sr., 94, of the 100 block of McCosh Drive, died Sunday, June 20, 2010. He was predeceased by his loving wife of 65 years, Etta Mae Hutchins Taylor. He was a member of South Norfolk Baptist Church. Louis served in the Civilian Conservation Corps. Mr. Taylor is survived his son, Lewis H. Taylor Jr. and wife Mary of Chesapeake; his daughter, Shirley T. Seymour of Edenton, N.C.; five grandchildren, Terry Seymour, Scott Seymour and wife Jennifer, Larry Seymour and wife Terry, and Dr. Steven Taylor, and Kimberly Moats and husband Rodney; and nine great-grandchildren, Christopher, Jeremy, Ashley, Alexander, Shelby, Jamie, Sabrina, Brendon and Tristan. A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 23, in Chesapeake Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. today at the Great Bridge Chapel of Oman Funeral Home & Crematory, 653 Cedar Road, Chesapeake. My mother and I both will miss him very much.. He was my best uncle and I always appreciated his visits.. I am deeply sorry that I nor my mom can be there especially with Harvey at this time.. ..I believe that God will hold him in his heart as my uncle was a very good man.
