Malcolm Stallard Obituary

Malcolm L. Stallard NORFOLK - Malcolm Lance Stallard, 90, passed away Aug. 28, 2010 in Bon Secours DePaul Medical Center. He was born in Herald, Va., and retired from the U.S. Navy as a chief petty officer. He was a veteran of World War II and the Norfolk Elks Lodge. He is survived by his son, Malcolm Wayne Stallard and wife Betty O'Neal; daughter, Sylvia Yvonne McGee and husband Richard; grandchildren, Tony Lee O'Neal and wife Janet, Sibrena Myers and husband Danny, Teresa McCracken, Lorraine Davenport and husband David, Stephen Varnader and wife Lorri, Kathy Carroll and husband George, Mary Stinson and husband Basil, Richard McGee, Jr. and wife Kandi, Rebecca McGee; and many great-grandchildren. A funeral will be held Tuesday, Aug. 31, at 11 a.m. in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, with burial in Rosewood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Condolences may be made to the family at www.hollomon- brown.com.

Just met some of Mr. Stallard's family at Pizza Chef in Norfolk.. They are the nicest family. This gentleman was worried about making too much noise and felt like he had to apoligize to us. WOW. That is so sweet of them. They weren't loud at all. For him to reach out to our family in his time of grief says alot about Mr. Stallard. He has a truely blessed family and raised them well.
Thank you. Thank you for touching our life tonight. Remember the good times and laugh at the funnies, remember the bad times an cry when needed, but look towards the future.
Just wanted to let them know they touched my family and thank them for it. Even though it was a brief encounter it was large.

To the family of "Mac". I knew him well from the Norfolk Elks lodge. He was a wonderful man, very generous with his time and energy. When I was the Exalted Ruler there I could always count on his help whenever I needed it.
