Margaret McDaniel Obituary

Margaret S. McDaniel VIRGINIA BEACH - On April 25, 2010 Margaret S. McDaniel departed this earth to be in the house of the Lord with her loving husband of 49 years, Clarence "Dickie" McDaniel. At the time of her passing, she was surrounded by her loving family. Margaret was preceded in death by her 11 brothers and sisters. She was a loving mother, friend, and teacher. Besides her family, Margaret was passionate about furniture upholstery work. She taught many the trade of upholstery and retired in 2005. Her life touched many and her memory will live on in the minds of all who knew her. Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Joan Greene; sons, Richard and Charlie McDaniel; daughters- in-law, Donna and JoAnne McDaniel; grandchildren, Amy Perry, Annie Centers, Danny Greene, Meagan Hovik, Melissa Bense, Sean McDaniel and Shannon McDaniel; nine great-grandchildren; special niece, Edith Kouns; and numerous other nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, April 28, at Rosewood Kellum Funeral Home. A service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, April 29, at the funeral home with burial to follow in Rosewood Memorial Park. In her last few months, she was greatly helped by Davis Corner Volunteer Fire and Rescue. The family requests, in lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in her name to the Davis Corner Volunteer Fire and Rescue.
