My condolences. I have enjoyed seeing Martha since the early 1980s at work. She will be sorely missed.

My sincere condolences to the family. I had the pleasure of meeting Martha many, many years ago due to my office being within walking distance to where she worked. She always made sure our orders were correct and made some of the best brownies. My co-workers and I were very sad to hear of her passing. She will be missed. May her sweet memories live on!

This is my dear friend Martha Whitaker Kaiser. She was my very first, and longest friend. We lived within walking distance of each other's houses. We played astronauts in her mother's shed, using a kitchen timer as our countdown clock, and regularly explored the ditch in the empty lot next to her house. We learned to read together on the couch, through the crazy characters in Dr. Seuss books. In fact we credited our highly developed sense of humor and whimsy to our exposure to Dr. Seuss. And the comedian Gallagher. And we thought our "jello" walk was the funniest thing ever.
Martha had a lifelong passion for music, and it was far more varied and developed than any of the rest of us, who were still listening only to whatever was on the radio or American Bandstand. I credit her with my lifelong addiction to the rock band Queen.
When we graduated high school, our paths began to diverge. She started worked at Philly's, and I worked at a local bank. She married Scott and I married Ron, a Va.Beach boy. As the years progressed, our lives drifted apart, but there was never again anyone quite like Martha Whitaker Kaiser. She will always be remembered, and deeply missed. Chana Tuttle
