Martha Worells Obituary
Chesapeake - Martha Marie Worells, 93, went to be with the Lord, Sunday, April 14, 2013.
Born in Smithfield, North Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Percy and Minnie Sellers. She was predeceased by her husband, Aaron H. Worells and a son, Billy Worells. Martha will be remembered as a loving and devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Survivors include her children, Marie Hodges, Melvin Capps and wife Betty; grandchildren, Kim Meekins and husband John, Traci Palos and husband David, Rick Hodges and wife Lynn, Karen Scott and husband Wayne; seven great-grandchildren; a brother, Bobby Sellers; a special family friend Joan Worells and her family, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at the Great Bridge Chapel of Oman Funeral Home & Crematory, 653 Cedar Road, Chesapeake. The interment will be private in Riverside Memorial Park.
The viewing will begin on Wednesday with the family receiving friends from 12:30 to 2:00 p.m., prior to the service at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Union Mission Ministries, 5100 East Virginia Beach Blvd., Norfolk, VA 23502.
