Greetings, Fred. Kath shared w/ me of Mary Jo's illness when I was home in April for a funeral. When I saw KB, a few weeks earlier, a former student of mine who was like a surrogate-daughter to me, had lost her two-year struggle with ovarian cancer. I know the journey well, and it's still quite fresh.
I just wanted to reach out and wish you well on this next piece of your journey as you adjust to a redefined future. I'm sorry for the loss of your long journey-partner.
I know there is loss and relief in so many cancer journeys as the family struggles with letting go, while wanting the suffering of those loved to end. I wish you and your family the best in this new learning-journey in which we have to keep honing our skills in the art of letting go. Be well...
