Mary Lou's family
Our great sorrow and grief is with you in the loss of your dear mother Mary Lou. We also feel the great loss of our oldest and admired neighbor for so many years. It was our very good fortune to have been neighbors and shall always recall the happy years and your family as you grew up ...and made her so pleased. Our sympathy is with you.

I have many happy memories of your house when we were young. Your father pierced my ears in the kitchen! I was the only high school senior without pierced ears and had awful needle phobia! Your mom held my hands and talked me through. I always wished she had taught me to French braid! Hers were amazing and I never could do it as well. She was a wonderful mother, and I know you will all miss her terribly. Requiescat in pacem.

I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. The Hollowell Family is featured in many of my favorite memories of growing up on River Shore Road. I hope memories of your Mom will bring all of you peace and comfort during this sad time.

Mary Lou and Jack Hollowell were a wonderful couple who graced my life while in Portsmouth. She excelled in what she did as a wife and mother and was a great asset to our community. She made Community Service an important component to her life.
May she be remembered for her love of animals and her friends and her kindness to all.
My sympathy to her children and their families and may she Rest In Peace.
