Mary Biddlecombe Trostle

Mary Biddlecombe Trostle, 99, passed away on July 6, 2022. She was born in Reading, PA to the late Dora Mae Griesemer and Charles Edward Biddlecombe. She is  predeceased by her husband of 67 years, Dr. Henry Stuart "Hank" Trostle. She was an antiques dealer for many years, most recently at the Mill Property in Morgantown, PA, where she was loved and respected by her friends and colleagues. Mary and Hank were stationed at various locations throughout the world, during which time she developed an appreciation for different cultures and a love of art and antiques. While stationed in Iwakuni, Japan, she opened Red Door Antiques and started a kindergarten class on the Marine base. In addition, she loved animals and faithfully donated to their care and rescue. Mary is survived by her son, Henry Stuart Trostle II and wife, Melinda; grandchildren, Melanie B. Long and husband, Tanner, and H. Stuart Trostle; great grandchildren, Ivan Henry, Eloise Mae, and Isla Mary Long. Mary's funeral service will be 2:00 pm, Friday, July 15, 2022 at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory with Rev. Michael D. Halley officiating. Burial will be private at Albert G. Horton Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery. The family will receive friends following the service at the home of Henry S. Trostle II.
