Maximillian Snock Obituary


Maximillian R. Snock VIRGINIA BEACH - Retired Lt. Cmdr. Maximillian R. "Max" Snock, 67, passed away Dec. 1, 2008. He was predeceased by his loving wife of 45 years, Geraldine, who he has happily rejoined; his father, Richard Snock; mother, Catherine; sister, Maureen; and granddaughter, Katie. Max was a proud member of the U.S. Navy for 30 years and a life member and past Commander of the VFW Post 392 and Past Grand Commander of the Cooties for Virginia. Max, or "Sonny" as he was known to his family in Philadelphia, leaves to cherish in his memory two sons, Michael R. Snock and his wife Karen of South Mills, N.C., and Robert Snock and his wife Diane of Oklahoma; and his daughter, Susan Wilson and her husband Mark of Virginia Beach. Max also leaves his sisters, Patricia Leary and Debby Quinn of Philadelphia and a brother, Michael Snock in Florida. Max also leaves his five grandchildren, Paige, Crystal, Justin, Robbie and Alexia. A memorial service and remembrance will be held at the VFW Post 392, 2408 Bowland Parkway, Virginia Beach, Saturday at 3 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to a charity of your choice. Services at Arlington National Cemetery with full military honors to be confirmed at a later date. Please visit Mr. Snock's memorial at www.mem.com.
