Michael Olenik Obituary
Settling in Hampton Roads he met his soulmate and the love of life, Alice Brant. During their 46 years together, they raised two sons, traveled extensively and shared numerous adventures together. As a Government Contractor, his dedication and focus was well known and recognized. One of his greatest sayings "I am a simple man, just living a simple life" summed him up perfectly. His volunteer work with Alice in numerous EMS and charitable causes gave him great pleasure, however family always came first. The world will be a little darker without him.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife Alice, his son Nicholas Olenik (Sarah), granddaughter Niah Olenik, daughter-in-law Deidra DeAngelis-Olenik, sister Vanessa Olenik, sisters-in-law Pat Whitley (David), Mary Heimann, brother-in-law Robert Heimann and numerous extended family and friends. He is predeceased by both parents and his son Christopher Olenik.
A celebration of Mike's life will be held Saturday, April 10th, 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM at 2908 Sand Bend Road, Virginia Beach, VA. In his honor, please wear your favorite Hawaiian shirt.
In lieu of flowers, pay it forward with a random act of kindness in Mike's honor. Condolences may be offered at www.vacremationsociety.com.

Hi Vanessa, was just reading old unread emails when I ran across a message from Legacy inviting anniversary wishes to Michael's family to continue celebrating his life. So I´m wishing you, Alice and Nickolas the best in life. I know you miss your mother and Christopher as well, but you know you carry on their legacies deep in your heart. I remember your family as a close and loving unit and hope this note finds you all continuing that legacy. God be with you.

Vanessa, I am so sorry to learn of your brother's passing. I know how much you loved him and his family, especially his sons. I lost my brother in July 2021, so I can really feel your pain. Count on your exhaustive excellent memories to lessen your pain. May God bless you. In loving memory
