Michael Watson Obituary

Michael John Watson passed away on July 6, 2021, in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Mike proudly served our country in the U.S. Coast Guard for 30 years, retiring as a Chief Warrant Officer 4 in 2010 with many awards, accolades, and lifelong friendships. He was currently employed with Credence Management Solutions. Running, biking, golfing, and spending fun times with his friends and family were his passions. He also loved cars and was a talented mechanic and carpenter.

Survivors include his son, Ryan Michael Watson; his daughter, Elizabeth Karen Watson; his father, Hermon Watson, USCG Ret (Ann); siblings, Carla, David, and Christopher Watson; and his close friends, Dan Billowitz, and Megan and Stefan Menke, and many others who will miss him dearly.

His request to be cremated and to have his remains buried at sea from a Coast Guard ship will be honored. A memorial service with military honors with be held at Graham Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Chesapeake on Sunday, July 18, 2021, at 4 p.m. Please visit www.grahamfuneralhome.com to view the service and to leave a condolence to the family. In lieu of flowers, please donate to The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, https://afsp.org or a charity of your choice.
