NaKiya Batts Obituary
NaKiya D. Batts NORFOLK - NaKiya Dashawna "Kiya" Batts, 3, departed this life July 7, 2008. She was born June 14, 2005, at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. She attended Solid Rock Church of Christ Disciples of Christ regularly with her family. She was predeceased by her great-grandmother, Ruby C. Batts. She leaves to cherish her precious memory her mother, Nikita Batts; her father, Malcolm Chatman; one sister, Keyonna Batts; one brother, Avontay Chatman; maternal grandmother, Tracie Batts; maternal grandfather, Walter Ridley; two aunts, Shakeeta Batts and Ashanti Batts; and a host of other relatives and friends. A funeral will be held at 7 p.m. Monday in the chapel of Metropolitan Funeral Service, 7246 Granby St. Dr. Jennifer Hazel will officiate. Interment will be 11 a.m. Tuesday in Roosevelt Memorial Park, Chesapeake. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.metropolitanfuneralservice.com.
