Nancy Etheridge

Nancy C. Etheridge NORFOLK - Nancy Cochrane Etheridge, 74, died Thursday, June 3, 2010. Born and raised in Asheville, N.C., Mrs. Etheridge was the daughter of the late Georgia P. and William Jennings Cochrane. She was also preceded in death by her husband, James S. Etheridge Jr. Survivors include daughters, Julia E. Bilicki and her husband Robert of Alexandria, Elizabeth E. Joseph and her husband Stephen of Smithfield; a son, James S. Etheridge III and his wife Terri of Norfolk; and four grandchildren, Daniel Robert and Martha Brooks Bilicki of Arlington, and James S. IV and Allison Renee Etheridge of Norfolk. She is also survived by a brother, Julian M. Cochrane and his wife Norma of Arden, N.C. Mrs. Etheridge was an accomplished bridge player and enjoyed gardening. She developed an appreciation for antiques throughout her lifetime and was former owner of Grapevine of Ghent, an antique shop in Norfolk. A graveside funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, June 7, in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at H.D.
