Nicola Taraborrelli Jr.

1937 - 2021

PORTSMOUTH - Nicola "Nick" Taraborrelli, 84, with family by his side, went home to be with the Lord April 6, 2021. He was born March 11, 1937 in Portsmouth VA to Nicola and Adela Adovando Taraborrelli, Sr. He will be greatly missed by family and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Nicola and Adela Taraborrelli Sr.; his brother, Antonio "Tony" Taraborrelli; sister, Carmella West; and grandson, Jacob Andrew Pisle.

Nick was a graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School Class of 1955. He retired after 32 years in the US Postal service. He enjoyed working in his yard, tinkering in the garage, watching western movies and completing his daily crossword puzzle.

Left to cherish his memory are his devoted wife of 39 years, Nancy Lee Bean Taraborrelli; son, Michael Anthony Taraborrelli and wife Jessica; stepson, Robert Dennis Pisle and wife Ruthann; stepdaughter, Robyn Denise Pisle Clark and husband Ty; seven grandchildren; five great grandchildren and a host of extended family and friends.

Nieces Hazel Adele Ennis and Patricia "Tricia" Ann Vass held a special place in his heart and brought him much joy. Granddaughter Natalie Elizabeth Taraborrelli and grandson Nico Anthony Taraborrelli were the apple of his eye. They shared many good times, laughs and smiles.

A funeral service will be held at 11 AM Tuesday April 13, 2021 at Sturtevant Funeral Home Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5 - 6:30 PM Monday evening.
