Norma Blankenship Obituary
Born in Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Norman and Emily Cloyd and the widow of Fred V. Blankenship. Left to cherish her memory: two daughters, Vicki Colston and husband, Jim, and Lisa Kay Donovan and husband, Jim; three sons, Wyndal Blankenship, M.D. and wife, Kaye, Curt Blankenship and wife, Marie, and Brian Blankenship and wife, Renee; fourteen grandchildren, twenty-four great-grandchildren, and five
great-great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at Great Neck Baptist Church on Friday, July 30, from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. The funeral service will follow at 1:30 p.m. Interment will follow at Princess Anne Memorial Park under the direction of Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Neck Chapel. Even though time has passed since our sweet Norma has gone to join Fred there memory is still bright in my mind. It makes me so happy to think of them together with Mama (Lucile) and all other family members. They were all so close in life. And my nephew, Buck Ellis (lena Ann and Jan's boy (and Angel's brother) died this month. He was 64 and had cancer. There is more family in heaven now than here on earth.....and I can't wait to join them. I would love to hear from some of you cousins. I live in Texas now but you can catch up with me by email. Love you
