Oneida Davenport Obituary
Chesapeake - Oneida Mae Davenport, 78 of B Street passed away November 21, 2012. A native of Columbia, N.C. she was the daughter of the late Eugene H. and Lattie Mae Davenport Spencer; she attend South Norfolk Congregational Christian Church.
She is survived by her sons, David Davenport and his wife, Irene; Donald Davenport and is wife, Karen; sisters, Gracelyn Craft and Virginia Riley; brothers, Joseph Spencer and his wife, Alice; Irvin Spencer and his wife, Louise; three grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
A service to celebrate her life will be held Monday, November 26, 2012 at 10 a.m. at Graham Funeral Home with Pastor Amos Eby officiating. She will be laid to rest at Rosewood Memorial Park, Virginia Beach. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 7 to 8 p.m. Please visit her book of memories at www.grahamfuneralhome.com to view the service if unable to attend and to leave a note to the family.

Then laugh her hearty laugh.

I thought I felt her touch today
In the breeze that rustled by.
And then I heard the angel say
“The spirit never dies.”
I thought that she had left me
For the stars so far above.
And then I heard the angel say
“She left you with her love.”
I thought that I would miss her
And never find my way.
And then I heard the angel say
“She's with you every day.”
I love you Aunt Oneida and you will be missed very dearly i know you will be watching over us. Rest In Paradise.
