Peter Woodward Obituary
Virginia Beach - Peter Nelson Woodward, 58, passed away on January 15th, 2016. Peter was born on May 5th, 1957 in Frederick, Md. Peter spent his last hours with family and friends at his side. Peter Nelson Woodward was one truly exceptional man. Through his time on this Earth, he inspired many people. We are gathering at Noon, on Tuesday the 19th, at Steinhilber's (653 Thalia Rd. VA Beach, 23452) to celebrate Peter's life. For more about Peter, view Lee's Facebook page later this week. We send our hugs and prayers to you all. Peter my husband and I knew by our years of anniversary dinners at Ruth Chris in VB. Today we came to dinner and looked for him and asked and heard of of his passing. I just want you all to know what an amazing man he was to strangers he only knew by passing. He was always talking with my husband on his navy career and even bought us wine for his retirment when he returned from deployment. Thank you Peter for the memories.

How I remember you: love of family, exceptional work ethic, compassionate and kind to others, humorous, sharing and honest, avid Baltimore Orioles baseball fan, good listener, political debater, and most of all true friendship. You were a master of making people feel good about themselves.
Peter, I solute you, mission accomplished. May you fly like an eagle.

The world has truely lost a great man, many can say of the positive things and stories he left upon us all. My heart and prayers go out to Robin, Lee, Jonathan, and all the Woodward family. He may be gone but he will never be forgotten.

Though I haven't see Peter in many years, I am shocked and saddened to hear of his passing. We spent many hours together while we both worked at Ruth's Chris, Bottega and beyond. It was the time we spent away from work that I will always treasure though. My prayers go out to Jonathan and the rest of the Woodward family. God bless you all.
