My deepest condolences to the family for the loss of a wonderful man. I had the privilege of caring for Richard for many years. His devotion to his beloved wife Jackie was legendary. His love for his children and all of his family was dominant in his life.
He fought some very tough medical problems for years, but did so with amazing determination and bravery. He managed to smile and forge ahead with each setback. He was generous to a fault.
I will miss him dearly. I regret that I am out of the country this week and I will miss his memorial and service. Please know that he will remain in my thoughts and memories for years to come. A finer man I have not known.
