Richard Coffelt Obituary

Richard Martin Coffelt, 67, passed away on October 17, 2023. He was the son of the late Josie Mae Todd Coffelt and Terrill Martin Coffelt. He was married to Elizabeth Coffelt. Loved by his family members, those left to cherish his memory are his sisters and his brother in-laws: Cheryl Ward (Steve), Cathy Paine (Mark), and Marlene Brown (Tom); as well as many nieces and nephews. He will also be missed by his good friend, Joe Bray, who always came and provided tremendous support and assistance during the lengthy health crisis Richard endured.

While competent in many trades, Richard was a skilled woodworker who enjoyed building furniture. In his younger years, Richard enjoyed sailing and was an avid skier. Watching him zigzag down the black diamond slopes sending snow left and right was not only a pleasure to watch, but an impressive demonstration of his ability. He loved to cook, thanks to his mom. Later in life he spent his leisure time camping.

A private Celebration of Life will be held at a future date by his family. Richard will be remembered for his bright smile and easy-going personality. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made in Richard's name to the American Diabetes Association. Condolences may be offered at www.vacremationsociety.com.

Sorry to hear of Richard´s passing. My husband Woody and I went to school with him, and he visited us often after we were first married. Sending love and prayers to the family.
