Robert Henson Obituary
Robert M. Henson Sr. NORFOLK - Robert M. "Bob" Henson Sr., 58, died Aug. 14, 2008. He was retired with more than 20 years of service from the U.S. Navy as an aviation mechanic and instructor. Following his military career, he worked as an automobile mechanic. He was a member of the Norfolk Moose Lodge No. 39, the Fraternal Order of the Eagles No. 795 in Chesapeake and the A.P.A. He is survived by three sons, Allan Ray Henson, Shawn Henson and Robert Michael Henson III; a daughter, Sonja Henson; two grandchildren; two brothers, James B. Henson III and Thomas R. Henson; and a very close friend of the family, Penny Oberst. He was predeceased by a son, Robert Michael Henson Jr. A memorial service will be held Thursday at 4 p.m. in the Norfolk Moose Lodge No. 39, 135 Kempsville Road, Norfolk. Cremation & Funeral Services of Tidewater is handling arrangements. www.candfservices.com.
