It surprises me how often I think about Bob and his influence on the Parkinson Support Group which he led. Always the cheerful, never complaining person of high standing, from a lovely family. I recall making the buttons with this exact picture for an annual Walk in his memory, that year. May he never be forgotten.

Bob helped me keep hope alive. He gave us much and had much more to give. But we will draw inspiration from his example. Bob and I met for lunch two years ago as I began my Parkinsons journey. I knew I could manage it after our conversation. Thanks to him and to all of the givers.

My deepest condolences the family of Bob.
We a great sorrow I read the sad news.
I met Bob almost 25 years ago at Baxter, one of my first American friends.
He was also my neighbor in Deerfield.
We talked often. We shared table during lunches at Baxter and later Allengiance.
We chat on the streets of Deerfield where he walked his dog.
What a wonderful person he was.
Intelligent, gentle, kind, brave.
I missed a friend.
I'm very, very sorry.

I cannot believe he is gone from this earth. Thank God for the assurance of heaven--He is in HIS Presence. He truly fought the good fight, he loved and cared for others well and deeply, he bore his suffering with grace and patience--such an example to me--and so many others. So glad we were able to reconnect. He is just beginning the greatest part of his journey.
I will miss you Rob. xo
“Now he is not God of the dead, but of the living, for all live to him….”Luke 20:38
Orthodox Prayer for the Departed
O God of spirits and of all flesh, Who has trampled down death and overthrown the Devil, and given life to Your world, do the same Lord, give rest to the souls of Your departed servants in a place of brightness, a place of refreshment, a place of repose, where all sickness, sighing, and sorrow have fled away. Pardon every transgression which they have committed, whether by word or deed or thought.
For You are a good God and loves mankind; because there is no man who lives yet does not sin, for You only are without sin, Your righteousness is to all eternity, and Your word is truth.
For You are the Resurrection, the Life, and the Repose of Your servants who have fallen asleep, O Christ our God, and unto You we ascribe glory, together with Your Father, who is from everlasting, and Your all-holy, good, and life-creating Spirit, now and ever unto ages of ages. Amen.

I'm speechless. I met Bob many years ago at North Suburban Church in Deerfield. We were in a Bible study together and shared coffee and prayers for one another. After his divorce he left for Virginia. I am saddened at his loss he endured much. But Bob is in paradise now released from his body and now he soars with Eagles. God Bless you Bob, your friend

We didn't know Bob well, only through the support group. He was always so up beat. His kindness really came through his personality. So sorry for your loss. My prayers are with his family and friends.

Bob,
John & I will miss your kindness and positive attitude in dealing with our illness. You had a twinkle in your eyes and a warmth that attracted strangers to you and we felt comfortable discussing such private issues.
We considered you a friend even though we had met you only a short time ago.
"Rest in Peace" my friend.
