Ronald Williams Obituary

Ronald H. Williams CHESAPEAKE - Ronald H. "Willy" Williams, 66, of Forest Cove Drive, passed away Monday, Sept. 6, 2010 at his residence. He was a native of Whitmire, S.C., a retired U.S. Navy chief petty officer with 24 years service serving in Vietnam and Beirut, and also worked at Home Depot. He was a coin collector and sports enthusiast and son of the late John and Thelma Smith Williams. Survivors include his beloved wife of 31 years, Deborah Kay Williams; two sons, Michael J. Williams and wife Tiffiny of Elizabeth City, N.C., and Kevin J. Williams of Chesapeake; one sister, Marlene Evans and her husband Bob of Fort Pierce, Fla.; two grandchildren, Cheyenne Williams and Makenzi Diluzio of Elizabeth City; two sisters- in-law, Beverly Rastetter and Connie Shrader. A memorial service will be at 5 p.m. Wednesday, Sept 8., at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Bridge Chapel, with the Rev. James Packe officiating. The family will be at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to either the American Cancer Society or Chesapeake Regional Home Care Services. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.hollomon-brown.com.

"Debbie, Mike and Kevin" Im so sorry to hear of Willy's passing.. I did not know about it until my son Zack told me yesterday.. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you... Just remember Im only a few houses down if you need anything.. Sherry Hicks
