Ruby Farrow

Ruby R. Farrow CHESAPEAKE - Ruby Richardson Farrow, 85, passed June 9, 2010. She was a native of Norfolk County and was the widow of Sidney E. Farrow. She was a homemaker, loving mother and grandmother. She loved taking care of children. She was very generous and caring, always putting others first. She will be deeply missed. She was a member of Fairview Baptist Church and always loved serving the Lord. She is survived by her daughter, Mardie DeFeo and her husband David; son, Mike Farrow and his wife Molly; three granddaughters, Ronda Adkins and her Anthony and Charity and Brittany Farrow; and a sister-in-law, Thelma Richardson. The family wishes to acknowledge and thank Dr. David West, the staff of Sentara Village Chesapeake and Sentara Hospice of Chesapeake, where Ruby was a resident. She loved living there and volunteering. A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 12, at 3 p.m. in Fairview Baptist Church, 1204 Tatemstown Road, Chesapeake, with Dr. M. Lee Godfrey officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to the Fairview Missionary program or Sentara Hospice of Chesapeake. Cremation & Funeral Services of Tidewater assisted the family.
