Shelby Scott Obituary
Norfolk - Shelby Green Scott, an outstanding mother and friend, passed away on January 20, 2017. Born August 23, 1971 in Norfolk, VA, she was a graduate of NSU with a degree in Business Management/ IT. A woman of diverse passions, she worked in IT for NPS for 17 years, while also fulfilling her purpose both as a business woman and writer. Courageous and strong-willed, her radiance captured many and her immaculate personality inspired more. Shelby is predeceased by her husband, Vincent Scott and survived by children, Brandyn and Kayla Green. A funeral service will be held, 11am, January 28, 2017 at Metropolitan Funeral Service, Granby Chapel.

my name is Denise Bowman. i went to school with Shelby Green. i wanted to make sure this is the correct Shelby Green. i lived in Norfolk,Va. back in 1980-1984 back then they called me Nicky my nickname and my last name was Hazard i lived out Lafayette Shores back then and i wanted to know if this was the correct Shelby Green from Lafayette Shores. i moved back to Delaware and i was just searching on line for people that i knew from VA. and i came across this for Shelby Green. i am so hurt if this is Shelby because she was a very nice person and really treated me so good when i moved into the neighborhood. i do not have Facebook and i don't do social media. me and Shelby was born the same year. i send my condolences and Shelby will be missed by me. can somebody please e-mail me at [email protected] to confirm this is the correct Shelby.

I am a friend of Carla Rene'e. I did not know Shelby personally but I did listen to the video clip recently on facebook of her singing at someone's services. Later on I laid down to rest and was slightly upset, and started to crying for joy, the Spirit moved me and I got happy remembering the feelings she conveyed and she was singing to the Lord on that video clip. Shelby Scott-Green was one of the first people I met arriving to CAB from a local school. She welcomed me with opened arms as well as gave a few pointers in surviving "downtown". I will keep her advice close at heart.

Shelby was such a special outgoing funny person. She will be missed. As Shelby said herself "it sure will be quite around here". Always had a sense of humor. She has been reunited with her loving Vince. May she RIP.
