Sherri Maxfield Obituary

Sherri Jo Maxfield HERTFORD - Sherri Jo Maxfield, 49, passed away Monday, Aug. 30, 2010 in Hertford, N.C. She was born Aug. 19, 1961, in Norfolk, the daughter of the late Harold and Ruth Carol Stutzman and was predeceased by her loving husband, Harold J. Maxfield. Sherri was an avid gardener and was passionate about helping others. She will be remembered as a selfless, hardworking and devoted mother. She is survived by two daughters, Jessica Maxfield of Chesapeake and Venessa Maxfield-Seyford of Angel Fire, N.M.; and three stepsons, James, Joe and Justin Maxfield, all of Vermont. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; a sister and two brothers. The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 3, at the Great Bridge Chapel of Oman Funeral Home & Crematory, 653 Cedar Road, Chesapeake. Pastor Mitch Caton will officiate. The interment will be private. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Friday prior to the service at the funeral home. Friends are also invited to send condolences and sign the online guestbook at www.omanfh.com.
