Sonja Gold

Sonja J. Gold PORTSMOUTH - Sonja J. Gold, 77, died Oct. 6, 2009. Mrs. Gold, a native of Russia, was retired from Coldwell Banker Professional Realtors and had formerly worked as a nurse anesthetist at Maryview Hospital. She was the widow of Stanley G. Gold since his death in 2006, and was a member of the Church of the Resurrection. She is survived by two daughters, Tanja Gold and Valerie Kilby and her two children, Colin Scruggs and Conner Scruggs of Chesterfield, Va. Private services will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association. Foster Funeral Home, Portsmouth, is assisting the family.
