Stanley Joseph Wasiuk

1937 - 2021

Stanley Joseph Wasiuk, 84, began his eternal life on Friday, February 26, 2021 in Midlothian, Virginia with family by his side. Stan was born January 3, 1937 to William and Victoria Wasiuk in Winslow, Maine. After graduating from Winslow High School, Stan proudly served in the United States Air Force.

Stan met the love of his life, Martha, while working in Baltimore, MD. The couple soon settled in Virginia Beach where they lived for over 40 years. He retired in 2013 after a long career with Raytheon Technologies. Stan could have written a book with all of the stories he loved to tell. He was a master negotiator always looking for a good deal and could fix just about anything. Stan was a devoted husband, father, and papa; slow to anger, quick to forgive, and full of unconditional love.

In addition to being preceded in death by his parents, Stan was preceded in death by his sisters Evelyn and Judy, and his beloved wife of 41 years, Martha. Left to cherish his memory are his children Cari (Mark) and Jay (Emily); grandchildren Devyn, Meredith, and Bruce; sisters Mary and Pauline, and many other loving family and friends.

A visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. followed by a memorial service at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, March 12, 2021 at Altmeyer Funeral Home, 5033 Rouse Drive in Virginia Beach. A private graveside service will be held at Albert G. Horton, Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery in Suffolk, VA.
