Theda Grove Obituary
Theda Herman Grove VIRGINIA BEACH - Theda Herman "Teddy" Grove, 81, passed away Aug. 15, 2008. She was born in Philadelphia, resided there until her retirement in 1989 and then became a resident of Virginia Beach. She was predeceased by her husband, William "Bill" Grove. She leaves to cherish her memory five children, C. John, Janice, Sharon, Marcia and Jeff; and brothers, Maynard and Saul. She was a grandmother to 11 and great-grandmother to 12. Also surviving are her many friends at Parents without Partners, Widow and Widowers and The Jewish Community Center. Theda had a zest for life, never afraid to go on a adventure on her own. She always had a smile, a kind word for people in need and could talk to anyone no matter where she was. She will be immensely missed. A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Eastern Shore Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. in H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Laskin Road Chapel.
