Thomas Coffield Obituary
Thomas E. Coffield Sr. WINDSOR - Thomas Erie Coffield Sr., of the 12000 block of Whitfield Park Lane, passed away on Oct. 19, 2008 with his family by his side. Born in North Carolina, he was the son of the late Clarence E. and Edith (Copeland) Coffield. He was also predeceased by his brother, Russell Coffield. Mr. Coffield had retired from E.V. Williams Paving as a mechanic. He was a loving father and a loving husband to his wife of 58 years, Gladys Sawyer Coffield, and is survived by his children, Donnie Coffield Sr., Thomas Coffield Jr., Cynthia Rowland and Curtis Coffield Sr.; one brother, Douglas Neil Coffield Sr., one sister, Jeanette Charlton; and his beloved six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Harrell & Hill Funeral Home, Suffolk, by the Rev. Ray Hampton. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may join the family at the funeral home today from 7 to 8 p.m. He will be missed.
