Virginia Dennis

Virginia A. Dennis PORTSMOUTH - Virginia Adams Dennis, 91, died Nov. 30, 2010 at Pitt County Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Dennis was a former resident of Ayden. She was a member of Western Branch Baptist Church and the Churchland Seniors. She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry O. Dennis; her daughter, Leila Dennis Heath; her son, Claude Allen Dennis and her niece. She is survived by her grandson, Brian Heath and wife Lisa of Winterville; two great-grandsons, Zachary and Nathan Heath; son-in-law, Thomas Heath of Ayden; one sister, Helen Adams Bland of New Bern; and three nephews. A service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 3, in Farmer Funeral Home, Ayden, officiated by the Rev. John Brick. Burial will be in the Dennis Family Cemetery, Ayden. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service at the funeral home, and other times at 127 Grandifloria Court, Winterville, N.C.
