Virginia Ferrari Obituary

Reverend Virginia Ferrari, 68, passed away Sunday, January 1, 2023 in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Virginia was born on November 16, 1954 to Vincent and Geraldine Ferrari in Queens, NY. She was a graduate of St. Dominic High School in Oyster Bay, New York.

Virginia's strong spirited personality will be long-missed. Along with having a robust sense of humor, she thoroughly enjoyed being a multi-topic protagonist, spiritually elevating herself and others through Reiki, and having a good laugh with family and friends.

Virginia was predeceased by her father and sister, Geri Giordano. Left to cherish her memory are her mother, daughter Jennifer, grandchildren Natalie, Lindsey and John Gnik, sister Jeanne Maher, brother Vinny (Lynn), sister Cecilia (Sjaak), loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends - many of whom were of tremendous help during her illness. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.

Two years! I bet she is loving her new home. No doubt! I would still love to talk to her.

Virginia was my Reiki practioner! I always enjoyed driving to her office in Virginia Beach! I have always loved the ocean! I have no one replace her! She will be missed by all that knew her! She was an important part of my life! Enjoy your next journey Virginia!

Virginia taught me Reiki in 2003 well she was living in New Jersey. I lost touch with her sometime after that and heard she had moved from New Jersey to Virginia. Recently I retired and have been weeding out my old files. I found the Reiki materials and decided to locate her on the internet. I was sorry to discover that she has passed, and so recently. I knew her as an honest and caring person, and a person not afraid of death. I guess she has returned "home." My condolences and best wishes to her family.

I can't believe she's gone. I guess that's why it has taken me so long to write anything in her memory. I met Virginia 12+ years ago and if I had to choose only one noun for her, it would be GIVER. I watched how she gave of herself easily by offering to others her spiritual gifts with Reiki treatments and supernatural guidance. She was a good example on the importance of feeding our own spirit before helping others. For her it was her many projects of painting furniture, working in her garden, and reading,. Even when she wasn't at the office, she still thought of others by making guilts, and crocheted blankets or cooking. I loved her humor, her no frill approach to things, her colorful vocabulary that sounded harsh to some, but never did she sound unfeminine or ugly to me. Her passionate spirit was brighter than her words. I admired her deep appreciation for life's gifts and her favorite gift was her grandchildren. She touched many lives. She changed mine. I will miss my friend, but for Virginia the winter is past, the rain is over and gone. She is home. Well done, good and faithful servant.

Virginia was a good friend to me ever since I took her Reiki class twenty years ago. I will miss her friendship, her steadfast supportiveness, and her quirky take on life. I can't imagine a world without her. My prayers are with all who loved her. Please let me know when the memorial will be held.

I met Virginia years ago, visiting her for reiki and intuitive readings over the years. She loved her family and spoke often about her grandchildren. She was such a gift. Virginia was a dynamic personality. She was fun, sassy, and direct. I will miss her but know she is guiding us all from the other side. May her memory be eternal.
