Walter Waddler Obituary
Portsmouth - Portsmouth-Walter Daniel Waddler Sr., 71, block of 2100 Pearl St. passed away July 24, 2012. He was born on March 14, 1941 to the late Helen Waddler and Waverly Waddler, Sr.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Felecia Waddler; daughters, Carolyn(Clement)Watson, Faye (Ernie) Crenshaw, Cathy (William) Murphy and Betty Waddler, sons; David Waddler, Walter(Phyllis)Waddler, Jr. and Walter(Michele) Waddler,III; sisters, Linda and Beulah Waddler, brothers; Waverly (Thelma) Waddler, Sr., James ( Bayne) Waddler, Joseph Waddler, George(Velma) Waddler and Milton(Sarah) Waddler, eighteen grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, stepchildren; Anthony (Yolanda) Murrell, Aelecia(Ronald) Hastings and Rebecca Anthony.
A funeral service will be held, 11 a.m., Saturday, July 28 at Metropolitan Funeral Service, Portsmouth Blvd. Wake service will be held from 6:30 to 7:30 Friday. Interment will be held at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, Norfolk, VA. Condolences and live streaming offered to the family at www.metropolitanservice.com

Sorry to hear of your great loss. The Waddler Family was one of the largest families in our neighborhood. They were friends to another large family which were the Freemans on Chestnut Street. I have visited the home many times and have always had such pleasant times there. Everyone was always in such happy spiritsand everyone was welcome. Surely the presence of God was always in this home. God has again smiled on one of His children and has taken him to the best place. Another flower has been picked to join the others in the garden of beautiful. Family, take this time to reflect on the good times that you shared with Walter.
