William Bennett Obituary

Master Chief William Bennett went on his last deployment at the age of 89 on 12, January 2023. Leaving behind his wife of 66 years Joyce Bennett, along with four children Billy (wife Diana), Theresa (husband Mike), Mike (wife Larissa), Donna (husband Brian), nine grandchildren Lauren, Lindsay, Colin, Kristofer, Steven, Brianna, Rachel, Taylor, Brian, twelve great-grandchildren and many friends. Although, born in Brooklyn, N.Y., Norfolk, VA was the place he called home. He retired in June 1972 after serving 20 years in the United States Navy. During his service he served aboard several ships including the Guadalcanal, Monrovia, and Boxer to name a few, then later ending his service on the Forrestal. Between deployments he was very involved in NAS little league serving as the President of the league. As per his wishes there will be no funeral services, however, you can visit Hollomon-Brown.com to leave a condolence for the family.
