Willie Ridgeway Obituary
Portsmouth - Willie Charles Ridgeway (Chuck) departed this life peacefully at his home in Portsmouth, Virginia on July 26, 2016, at the age of 48. Charles was born in Andalusia, AL to the late Annie Ruth Ridgeway Shealey and Robert Ridgeway, III. Charles received his education Dozier High School, Dozier, Al. and loved sports. He was the CEO of Ridgeway Enterprises, LLC. and Vice-President of Health Care Services of Hampton Roads, Inc. He was a member of Tabernacle of Prayer Church, Virginia Beach, where he served as a Trustee.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Annie Ruth Ridgeway Shealey, his father, Robert Ridgeway, III, and his son, Xavier Charles Ridgeway. He leaves to cherish his memories a daughter, Breona Ridgeway of Norfolk, VA, a son, Willie Charles Ridgeway, Jr. (mother, AToya) of Portsmouth, VA, four (4) sisters, Lynette Ridgeway of Andalusia, AL, DeLisa (Sharkis) Beamon of Andalusia, AL, Ella Mae Paige of Atlanta, GA, Angela (David) Shealey, Brantley, AL and two (2) brothers, Robert (Mechelle) Ridgeway of Andalusia, AL and James Shealey of Mobile, AL, two (2) grandchildren, Zariel and Jammal (mother, Breona) both of Norfolk, VA.
A celebration of life will be held August 1, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Metropolitan Funeral Service located at 7246 Granby Street, Norfolk, Virginia.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to CHKD for children with cancer. Condolences for the family maybe offered online at www.metropolitanservice.com
