To those of you who don't know me, I am Betsy's son Mike's girlfriend. We have been together for a little over six years. I had the privilege of going on a cruise with Betsy, Bonnie and Mike a few years ago and I'm so very glad I did. It gave me a chance to really bond with her and make some wonderful memories that I will cherish through my life. She was truly a one of a kind lady. She was so generous and giving and so sweet and loving. She accepted me as a daughter and made me feel special and loved. She just had a way about her that was so calm and peaceful. Her smile would light up the room. So much so that you wanted to say and do things just to see that smile. She loved to be pampered and fussed over and she loved her sparkles and beautiful things. She enjoyed the beauty in everyone and everything and always took extra special care of her own appearance. She herself always looked beautiful, but what's more was her inner beauty. It shone through and drew people to her. It made me want to always be at my best. One thing that made me feel close to her was our mutual love of hummingbirds! In fact my prized possession is a hummingbird wind chime she gave me for Christmas one year. Once she found out I loved hummingbirds too, she was always giving me something with them on it!
My favorite part of our trip was really our car ride down because the whole way down we talked and I got to hear so many of her memories and stories. I realized that she has had such an interesting, colorful and blessed life. These memories are treasures to me, as was she. I would like to offer my love, sympathy and deepest condolences to all her family and friends during this time of loss.

Betsy was one of the most loving, generous and beautiful ladies I've ever known. I will be forever indebted to her for helping with my son Joshua, her grandson. Joshua loved her very much and I'm sure they are together now reliving their trip to Disney World together when he was a child. You will be missed and never forgotten. My deepest sympathy for all of the family.

Betsy was a wonderful person and very giving. She was my Mother In Law for 4 years and I continued to have a relationship with her through my son Jonathan Payne who is her Grandson. She was a very giving person and a very nice person and I will miss her.
