CREVE COEUR — Arthur Marion Scott Jr., 95, of Creve Coeur passed away at 3:37 p.m. Monday, July 19, 2021, at Generations at Riverview in East Peoria.
Born September 16, 1925, in Peoria, he was the son of Arthur Marion Sr. and Bertha (Leek) Scott. He married Joanne Ball on May 20, 1950, in Peoria, Ill. She preceded him in death.
He was also preceded in death by his parents, one grandson and four siblings.
Surviving are two daughters, Linda (Bruce) Henricks and Victoria Courtouise, both of Creve Coeur; one son, David (Marlee) Scott of Washington; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Arthur worked at Caterpillar Inc. for 47 years, retiring in 1982 as a pipefitter.
Arthur was a member of Saint Monica's Catholic Church in East Peoria and East Peoria VFW Post 2078.
Arthur was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend. He never missed visiting a friend or family member in need. He enjoyed woodworking and painting.
His graveside service will be held at Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria on Monday July 26, 2021, at 11:00 a.m., officiated by Father John Steffen. There will be no visitation.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Creve Coeur.
