Bernadine Anthony Obituary
EAST PEORIA – Bernadine M. Anthony, 93, of East Peoria passed away at 1:20 p.m. Tuesday, April 19, 2016, at Rosewood in East Peoria.
Bernadine was born on July 31, 1922, in Peoria to the late Thomas and Mary (Mrad) Kouri. She married Joseph T. Anthony. He preceded her in death on Oct. 28, 1965.
She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Kathy Anthony; four sisters, Margaret LaHood, Gladys Tony, Elizabeth Couri, and Jeanette Couri; and one brother, Bernard Kouri.
She is survived by three children, Sandra (Ron) Krumholz of East Peoria, Ron (Connie) Anthony of Peoria, and Joe (Estela) Anthony of East Peoria; six grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and three brothers, Louis (Delores) Kouri of East Peoria, Edward Kouri of Metamora, and Gene (Cathy) Kouri of Morton.
Bernadine was a former owner of Gene's Dairy Dream.
She was a member of the ITOO Society, where she was a past president of the Women's ITOO Society.
The family would like to thank Vitas and the staff at Rosewood Nursing Home for the loving care they provided Bernadine.
A funeral Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, April 25, 2016, at St. Monica Catholic Church. Father Stephen Willard will officiate. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday, April 24, 2016, also at St. Monica Catholic Church, with recitation of the Rosary at 8 p.m. An additional visitation will be one hour prior to the Mass at the church. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery in West Peoria. Wright & Salmon Mortuary is handling the arrangements.
Memorials may be made to the ITOO Memorial Fund or St. Jude Midwest Affiliate.

SHE AND ALL THE FAMILY WERE GREAT FRIENDS OF MINE IN MY YOUNGER YEARS AND LOU HELPED ME WITH CLASS REUNIONS AND I APPRECIATED ALL THE FRIENDSHIP THEY GAVE ME.
