Bob Barker Obituary

DEER CREEK - Robert G. Barker, 84, of Deer Creek died at 5:20 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 29, 2015, at Maple Lawn Care Center in Eureka.

He was born in Deer Creek on Jan. 10, 1931, a son of the late Luke and Estella Reel Barker. He married Mary Hoeft in 1955. She preceded him in death in 2002.

He is survived by a nephew, Tom (Louise) Karr, of Congerville; and six stepchildren.

He was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.

Bob served in the Navy during World War II. He worked on autos as a mechanic his whole life.

Cremation will be accorded and private services will be at a later date.

Tom and Louise would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Maple Lawn for all of their wonderful care and support for Bob.

Argo-Ruestman-Harris Funeral Home in Eureka is in charge of arrangements.

i am so sorry to hear of bobs passing! , he was my patient for some time , and i just adored him. i remember his smile and laugh when getting dressed and i put his shoes on the wrong feet one morning we didnt realize it until we were getting up and i said bob you act like you have two left feet today and saw his shoes i was mortified but he laughed and laughed as i was so flustered . he was just a very sweet and loving man and he will be remembered always with love and a smile ! rest in peace buddy, sincerely kathy b cna
