WYOMING - Carole J. Wirth, 72, of Wyoming, formerly of Peoria, died at 8:50 a.m. Saturday, June 16, 2012, at Methodist Medical Center in Peoria, where she had been a patient for a week.
She was born Aug. 9, 1939, in Peoria, the daughter of Carl Howarth and Vera Mae Armentrout Wirth.
Surviving is one daughter, Vicki S. (Bob) Moats of Wyoming; and one granddaughter, Amy S. (Chad) Taylor of Algonquin, Ill.
She was preceded in death by both parents.
Carole worked for over 20 years as executive club manager for the Hotel Pere Marquette in Peoria. Later, she worked for the Canton Country Club and most recently at The Waterhouse in Peoria as banquet coordinator.
She was a member of A.A. in Peoria and the Lake Bluff Historical Society.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 19, 2012, at Wyoming Funeral Home. The Rev. Joe Ballard will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Cremation will follow and burial of her ashes will take place at a later time in Wyoming Cemetery.
The family would like to thank the staff of Rosewood Care Facility in Peoria for their kindness and care during Carole's stay.

Carole was a very hard worker and raised a beautiful daughter. Amy was was another bright spot in her llife. She was also proud to give testimony about AA . She had beaten a demon so many others continue to battle with. We feel for your grief and understand your sorrow.
