Charlene Masters Obituary

PEORIA - Charlene M. Masters, age 88, of Peoria passed away Thursday, April 19, 2007, at 2:05 p.m. at Methodist Medical Center in Peoria.

She was born Sept. 26, 1918, in Herron, Ill., to Charles and Letitia A. Mitchell. She married David Masters in November 1946, in Peoria. He passed away July 22, 1976, in Iowa City.

She was also preceded in death by one granddaughter, Heather Masters.

Survivors include two sons, Tom Masters of Peoria and Keith (Sue) Masters of Pawnee; and three grandchildren, Mallory, Michael and Matthew Masters, all of Pawnee.

Charlene was a sales clerk at the downtown Bergner's for 25 years, retiring in the late 1980's.

She was a member of the Woodland Baptist Church in Peoria.

Funeral services will be Monday, April 23, 2007, at 2 p.m. at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel in Peoria. The Rev. Joel Newton will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services at the funeral home on Monday. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery in Peoria.

Memorials may be made to Woodland Baptist Church.
