Cheri Wilcox Obituary
PEKIN - Cheri Jo "CJ" Wilcox, 46, of Pekin passed away Sunday, July 8, 2018, at UnityPoint Health-Proctor.
She was born on January 30, 1972, in Peoria, the daughter of Sheryll Hillman and step-daddy, Joe Hillman.
CJ participated in many area Special Olympics, bowling, track, etc. She resided at Bridgeway Inc. in Pekin for the last 14 years, making friends and memories. CJ was a Pink lady with Red Hot flutter byes in Peoria.
CJ leaves behind to cherish her memory, her parents, Sheryll (Joe) Hillman of Tremont; one brother, Steve Wilcox of Peoria; two step-brothers, Brendan Hillman of Pekin and Joshua Hillman of Fort Collins, CO; nephews, Silas Hillman of Pekin and Camden Riley, and niece, Cordia Riley, all of Peoria; grandmothers, Hettie Hutton of Hanna City and Ruth Hillman of Tremont; and many aunts and uncles. She loved her family.
She was preceded in death by her grandpa, Bill Hoopingarner; and grandpa, Leon Hutton.
Her funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, July 12, 2018, at Davis-Oswald Funeral Home in Tremont. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and one hour before the service, both at the funeral home. Burial will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin.
Memorials may be made to the Special Olympics.
