Dale Hasler Obituary
EAST PEORIA - Dale W. Hasler, 67, of East Peoria died at 11:51 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 15, 2013, in the emergency room at UnityPoint Health-Methodist in Peoria.
He was born Sept. 18, 1946, in Peoria to Willis and Charlotte (Smithson) Hasler. He married Diana Gresak on Dec. 6, 1969, in East Peoria.
Surviving are his wife, Diana Hasler of East Peoria; one son, Mark (Jodi) Hasler of East Peoria; two daughters, Katie (Willie) Saucedo of Pontiac, Ill., and Jennie Hasler of East Peoria; seven grandchildren, Cody, Sarah, Elliot, Ethan, Crysta, Emilia and Evan; two great-grandchildren, Jaiden and Riley; one sister, Sandy (Richard) Hammer of Washington; and one brother, Karl (Nicole) Hasler of Morton.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his maternal and paternal grandparents; two brothers, Darrel and Gary; two sisters, Jean Smithson and Erma Wernsman; and two grandchildren, Jordan Ramey in 2011 and Elias Horsley in 2006.
Dale worked for Boilermakers Local 60 in Morton, retiring on Oct. 1, 2001.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting and camping with his family. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather.
Cremation will be accorded. No services or visitation will be held.
Knapp-Johnson Funeral Home and Cremation Center is handling arrangements.
Memorials may be made to the Children's Hospital of Illinois, 530 NE Glen Oak Ave., Peoria, IL 61637.

Diana and family . We were so surprised and so sad to hear of Dale's passing. Paul called us to tell us while we were out west in California and Nevada visiting our son and grandchildren. You have our blessings and our condolences. We just arrived home tonight.
