Danny Lepretre Obituary
ROANOKE - Danny L. "Woody" "Red" Lepretre, 67, of Roanoke passed away on Friday, February 1, 2019, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center.
He was born on November 29, 1951, in Pekin, IL, to Jules and Josephine Samms Lepretre.
He is survived by two brothers, Jules (Tina) Lepretre of Peoria and Joseph (Lisa) Lepretre of Roanoke; his nieces and nephews whom he was raised with, Cathy (Richard) Lash of Pekin, Connie ("Kill Switch Harry") Brooks of Creve Coeur, Lori (David) Armstrong of Roanoke, Peggy (John) Marshall of Roanoke, Danny (Jennifer) Alliss of Kenosha, WI, and Michael (Trisha) Alliss of Congerville; and many other nieces, nephews and great- and great-great-nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Forrest Alliss; sister-in-law, Emma Alliss; one nephew; and one great-great-nephew.
Danny worked at Caterpillar for over 30 years before retiring.
Danny loved to camp, fish, tinker around the house and work on his older cars. He enjoyed hopping on his motorcycle and taking a ride on nice summer day.
Funeral services will be held on Monday at 1 p.m. at the Knapp-Johnson-Harris Funeral Home in Roanoke. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., prior to the services. Burial will be in the Roanoke Township Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children Hospital.

I always thought Danny was engaging in conversation, especially when talking about cars and things he liked. I know he was good to his family and know you will miss him. May the Lord comfort you at this time.
