PEORIA - David Ricardo Brown, 57, of Peoria passed away on Thursday, April 27, 2017, at 7:31p.m.
He was born on December 19, 1959, in Chicago, IL, to the late David Richardson and Vivian (Brown) Wilson. She survives.
David was a dedicated member of Pentecostal Church of Jesus Christ, under the leadership of Elder Henry Bolden. He was a hard worker and good-hearted person who would help anyone. David loved basketball and working out, but most of all he loved to cater to his mother.
In addition to his mother, he leaves to cherish his memories, three sons, David Brown II of St. Louis, MO, Corey Giles of Wisconsin and Miguel Gonzalez of Peoria; one daughter, Brandy Brown; three brothers, Claude (Tamara) Brown and Charley Wilson, both of Peoria, and Ray Anthony Brown of Memphis; four sisters, Patricia Brown, Lolita Brown, Vanessa (Herman) Myles and Valina Brown, all of Peoria; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and other family members and friends.
In addition to his father, David Richardson, he was also preceded in death by his stepfather, Charley Wilson Sr.; and one sister.
David will be laid to rest in Parkview Mausoleum. Services will be held on Thursday, May 18, 2017, at 12 noon at T.W. Parks Colonial Chapel, with visitation commencing one hour prior. Pastor Willivory Maxison will officiate.

David was always kind even those around were not, he was a true straight forward person.
I was very blessed to have known him (Trewyn/Manual) and into my adult life. Rest in Peace brother David.

I was really heartbroken to hear of David's passing. We grew up as friends when he came to Peoria from Chicago. We nicknamed him "Sal". I've always known him to have a big heart and loved to laugh. I spent a lot of time over at the Wilson/Brown home as a kid and I pray for strength and encouragement to the family. " Sal" will forever be my brother and he will be missed.
