CHILLICOTHE — Deborah B. Welch, age 70, of Chillicothe, passed away on Friday, July 23, 2021, at OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria.
Deborah was born on January 29, 1951, in Peoria, IL, to Jim and Opal (Claypool) Williams. She married David Welch on June 26, 1971, in Chillicothe.
Surviving are her husband, David; her children, Jennifer (Tim) Schwartz of DeKalb, IL, Jill Lyon of Shorewood, IL, and Johanna (Sean) Davis of Chillicothe, IL; her grandchildren, Chase and Collin Lyon, Maggie and Samantha Schwartz, and Lila, Alex and Jaxson Davis; and her sister, Rebecca Rice of Dunlap, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Deborah was a member of the Chillicothe First United Methodist Church.
A memorial service will be held at Weber-Hurd Funeral Home in Chillicothe on Sunday, July 25, 2021, at 3:00 pm. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service. Cremation rites will be accorded. Online condolences may be made through www.weberhurdfuneralhome.com.

My thoughts and prayers are with her loving family. I worked at ICC with Debby for 15 years < She was a wonderful and caring person and always very helpful to me. She talked often of Dave and her wonderful daughters and grandchildren. I am so sorry for your loss.
