WASHINGTON - Donald M. Guengerich, 41, of Washington passed away Wednesday, March 16, 2011, in Peoria.
Don was born on Jan. 10, 1970, in Illinois to John and Irene Lilienthal Guengerich Sr. He married Julie Smith in Washington on May 31, 1997. Julie survives.
Also surviving are his father, John Guengerich Sr. of Mackinaw; one daughter, Kaila Guengerich of Washington; two sons, Koby Guengerich of Oklahoma and Isaias Guengerich at home; one brother, John Guengerich Jr. of California; one granddaughter, Maddie; and his parents-in-law, Vern and Verna Smith of Washington.
Don had worked for Wal-Mart in Washington for the past five years, working in maintenance.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Washington.
A memorial service for Don will be held on Tuesday, March 22, at 11 a.m. at the First Baptist Church, with Pastor Jim Nelson officiating. Visitation will be on Monday from 4 to 7 p.m. at Mason-White Funeral Home in Washington and one hour prior to services at the church on Tuesday. Burial of ashes will be in Glendale Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Isaias Guengerich Education Fund, c/o CEFCU.
