PEORIA - E. Paul Weih, 84, of Peoria died Saturday, April 14, 2007, at 11:26 a.m. at Proctor Hospital following a brief illness.
Mr. Weih was born Sept. 1, 1922, in Clinton, Iowa, the son of Elmer Sr. and Grace Evans Weih. He married Katharine Reuling on June 3, 1950, in Peoria. She preceded him in death Jan. 31, 2007, in Peoria.
Surviving is one daughter, Katherine E. (Katie) Weih of Peoria; one son, Paul L. Weih of Peoria; one brother, Dr. Jack Weih of Traverse City, Mich.; one half sister, Nancy Hoskins of Sioux Falls, S.D.; and one half brother, Robert Weih of Kansas City, Mo.
Mr. Weih attended Iowa State University and the University of Iowa and graduated from Lake Forrest College.
Mr. Weih worked for Caterpillar Tractor Company and for Cummins Diesel Engines and was a former co-owner of Peoria Disposal until retiring in the mid 1980s.
Mr. Weih served in the Navy during World War II as a lieutenant on a LST Navy ship. Mr. Weih was a longtime member of the Rotary Club of Peoria.
Memorial services will be Friday, April 20, 2007, at 1 p.m. at the Cumerford-Endsley-Diggle Funeral Home, 428 W. McClure Ave. The Rev. Don Burleson will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home on Friday. Cremation rites have been accorded.

I really enjoyed meeting with and talking to Paul. I am very sorry to hear of his passing. He will be missed, by all of his family and friends.
