Eric Callahan Obituary
CHILLICOTHE - Eric Callahan, 40, of Chillicothe passed away Wednesday, June 11, 2014, at his residence.
He was born Feb. 18, 1974, in Peoria, Ill., the son of David "Mike" and Mary (Jackson) Callahan.
Surviving are his parents; one son, Blake Rolettle of Arkansas; one brother, Mike (Sue) Callahan of Chillicothe; four nephews, Robbie Callahan, Carl Alden, Jay Fritz and Noah Fritz; two nieces, Jamie Callahan Sharp and Hannah Callahan; great-nephews, Matthew Sharp, Gerald Burgess and Richie Burgess; and several aunts and uncles.
He was preceded in death by one brother, James "Rob" Callahan.
Eric graduated from IVC High School in 1992. He worked for Callahan Antiques in Chillicothe.
Eric loved to refinish furniture. He also loved mud trucks and was a Ford fan.
Funeral services will be held at noon on Monday, June 16, 2014, at Weber-Hurd Funeral Home in Chillicothe, with visitation beginning at 10:30 a.m. Cremation rites will be accorded following the service.
Memorials may be made to Hospice Compassus at 2000 W. Pioneer Park, Peoria, IL 61615.

To the Callahan Family...I am shocked and saddened to learn of Eric's recent passing. Eric was one of my paper carriers in Chillicothe years ago as was his deceased brother, Robbie. Losing one child is traumatic enough, but to lose another child is heart wretching. I am so very sorry for your loss. May you find comfort in the years of memories with your sons. RIP Eric.
