GALESBURG - James R. Ryberg, 63, of Galesburg, Ill., died at 3:55 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 21, 2009, at his residence.
He was born on July 15, 1946, in Grand Junction, Colo., the son of John and Naomi L. Fincham Ryberg. He married Marcia Leath on Oct. 21, 1989, at the First United Methodist Church in Galesburg, Ill. She survives of Galesburg, Ill.
Also surviving are stepson, Kevin Vancil of Galesburg, Ill.; and brother, Jon Ryberg of Roscoe, Ill.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He attended grade school in Payton, Iowa, and graduated from Galesburg High School in 1965.
He worked at Midwest Photo in Galesburg, Ill., for 30 years until they closed. He attended the Coldbrook Christian Church in rural Cameron, Ill.
He enjoyed photography, pictures and old cars.
Cremation rites will be accorded. Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 19, 2009, at the Coldbrook Christian Church in rural Cameron, Ill., with the Rev. Tim Johnson officiating. There will be no visitation. Private family graveside services will be in Silent Hope Cemetery in Cameron, Ill.
Memorials may be made to the Coldbrook Christian Church.
Hurd-Hendricks Funeral Home and Crematory in Knoxville, Ill., in charge of arrangements.
