Julie Connett
DELAVAN - Julie C. Connett, 55, of Delavan passed away peacefully at her home and went to be with her Lord and savior on Wednesday, October 3, 2018.
She was born September 26, 1963 to Larry and Sandra Wethington VanDyke. She married Rodney Connett on November 20, 1982 in Pekin and he survives.
Also surviving are her parents of Delavan; one son, Lance (Emily) Connett of Pekin; one grandson, Bowen Connett of Delavan; one brother, James (Rose) VanDyke of Delavan.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Larry Lee VanDyke.
She graduated from Delavan High School with the class of 1981 and was on the track team and received many medals. She volunteered at the Christian Life Academy in Hopedale.
Julie loved to cook and decorate her home especially at Christmas and loved spending time with family and friends. She had a heart of gold and a giving spirit and glowing personality.
Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, October 6, 2018 at Prairie Bible Church in Delavan. Pastor Dan Larimore will officiate. A visitation will be from 9 to 10:45 a.m. before the service, also at the church. Burial will be at Prairie Rest Cemetery in Delavan.
Memorials may be made to Christian Life Academy in Hopedale or Prairie Bible Church.
